POSITION SUMMARY:
The Grants and Finance Associate will support the day to day needs of the Grants Management Program as well as provide consistent support to the Finance department with Accounts Payable and assist with Annual Audits. The Grants and Finance Associate will be an integral member of Community Catalyst’s Finance Team. Community Catalyst Grants Management Program supports the organization’s programs.
This position is included in a collective bargaining unit represented by a staff union, Community Catalyst United, and specific employment terms may be subject to a future Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Supervision
The Grants & Finance Associate will report to the Senior Grants Manager and be a part of Community Catalyst’s Finance Team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Grants Associate
- Support grants management program producing award letters, grant agreements and reporting guidelines, distributing and collecting narrative and budget reports, ensuring payments and managing application materials (budgets, budget narratives, checklists, demographic data and additional supporting materials)
- Support Grants Management Program on cross organizational priorities as it relates to equity and inclusion in grantmaking
- Review financial reporting documents for organizational compliance
- Communicate regularly with grantees and potential grantees to identify and collect follow up materials, answer questions and relay feedback on proposal and report requests
- Data entry and management in Salesforce.
- Create manual invoices on subgrants and submit for processing
- Process grant payments and track status through NetSuite
Finance Associate
- Process Accounts Payables Invoices for payment
- Maintain Vendor Records and up to date Vendor Listing
- Process Journal Entries in the System
- Create Credit Card Transaction Reports for Managers for submission
- Review Submitted Credit Card Expense Reports in the System
- Prepare Data for 1099 Vendor Listing
- Scheduling Meetings with internal and external professionals/partners
- Assist with Annual Audit
- Back up for AR Invoice Processing
- Perform other duties as necessary to achieve the goals of the grants management and finance team
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance Required or 2-year of relevant work experience
- Pro-active work style with excellent follow-up and follow-through skills
- Ability to work independently with an interest in learning and working with those around them
- Work collaboratively with diverse team members as this supports the needs of the organization
- Experience developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage many tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility, creativity and ability to solve problems
- Commitment to health justice and racial justice
- Functional knowledge of cloud-based systems and spreadsheet tools required
- Basic Microsoft Office skills including Excel and Word
BENEFITS & SALARY
- Salary Range: Annual $43,000 - $49,000
