POSITION SUMMARY

Community Solutions for Health Equity is a program of Community Catalyst, funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The focus of CSHE is elevating the voices, stories, and priorities of communities of color and other communities often left out of discussions within local health care systems. The CSHE program attempts to address issues of systemic racism at the local health care level by supporting communities that have identified a problem that negatively affects them, and partnering with health care systems to implement practices of equity. The CSHE program works closely with 11 grassroots organizations from 11 states providing resources needed to support their ability to uplift community priorities, build partnerships, and develop effective strategies that will lead to health care system transformation.

Community Solutions for Health Equity also collaborates with a National Advisory Council made up of 20 members representing diversity in region, culture, ethnicity and lived experience, to provide guidance and to leverage influence with their local health care systems.

The Program Coordinator will have the ability to work independently on projects and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities (e.g., funding proposals/reports) and confidential matters with discretion. The successful candidate is someone who can assess priorities on the go, “manage up,” communicate directly, respond to time-sensitive needs with poise, and work efficiently and effectively in a team atmosphere.
