Katherine Villeda

Policy Analyst, State Consumer Health Advocacy Program

Katherine “Kati” Villeda (she/her/ella) serves as a Policy Analyst for the State Consumer Health Advocacy Program, providing policy research and analysis to state advocates, with a particular focus on immigrant access to health care. Kati brings her experiences as the child of immigrants, an immigrant rights organizer and reproductive rights activist. Prior to joining Community Catalyst, Kati was an Organizing Specialist at Planned Parenthood of Southern New England and Planned Parenthood Votes! CT. In that role she provided legislative, strategic and organizing support for the #HUSKY4Immigrants campaign, which would expand the state Medicaid program to all income-eligible residents regardless of immigration status, and the Doulas4CT Campaign, to achieve Medicaid reimbursement for doula services. Kati graduated from the University of Connecticut in August 2018 with her BA in an Individualized Major: Health and Social Inequalities with minors in Latino Studies and Human Rights.
