Kim Nguyen

Senior State Advocacy Manager, State Consumer Health Advocacy Program

Prior to joining Community Catalyst, Kim served as the Campus Vote Director for Freedom for All Massachusetts/Yes on 3: the campaign to protect trans rights in MA. With a strong interest in the varying intersections of the healthcare field, Kim has experience working in many subfields including basic science research, clinical research, direct care, and healthcare policy and advocacy. They have also conducted biomedical research at Harvard Medical School/MGH, UC San Francisco, Stanford University School of Medicine,  and UC Irvine School of Medicine. Additionally, Kim has been a part of public health projects and health policy teams at the San Francisco Department of Public Health, and the Brookings Institution, respectively. Kim spent a year working for Hillary for America in 2016 and credits this experience in solidifying their belief in a need for a system of advocacy that targets health inequities and uplifts the most vulnerable communities. Kim holds two Bachelor’s degrees in Bioengineering and Public Health as well as a minor in Public Policy from University of California, Berkeley.
