Associate Director, State Consumer Health Advocacy Program

Megan Whitehead serves as the Associate Director of the State Consumer Health Advocacy Program (SCHAP) supporting Community Catalyst's partners in their health care coverage initiatives. She helps manage the program's technical assistance work, campaign strategies and capacity building tools to help consumer health advocates promoting affordable health coverage in key states.

Prior to joining Community Catalyst, Megan served on the Government Relations team at Fenway Community Health Center in Boston supporting the organization’s collaboration with elected officials, government agencies, and national coalitions to combat health disparities in the LGBTQ community. Megan also managed policy, constituent outreach, and communications for a Massachusetts State Representative for over four years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Peace and Justice Studies from Wellesley College.

Community Catalyst works to ensure consumer interests are represented wherever important decisions about health and the health system are made: in communities, courtrooms, statehouses and on Capitol Hill.
