Meredith Munn Wheeler

Project Manager/Senior State Advocacy Manager, Together for Medicaid

As Project Manager for the Together for Medicaid project and a Senior State Advocacy Manager at Community Catalyst, Meredith Munn Wheeler works closely with state advocacy groups working to close the Medicaid coverage gap and bring health coverage to millions of low-income uninsured adults as well as those seeking to defend Medicaid from new barriers to coverage and care. Meredith coordinates Community Catalyst’s technical assistance on Medicaid expansion and defense, and provides strategic guidance and policy support to advocates working on closing the coverage gap and/or defending Medicaid.

Prior to working at Community Catalyst, Meredith was a Project Coordinator at Boston University’s Center for Addictions Research and Services.  Meredith also has a background in advocacy, previously working with MassEquality’s field organizing team and with Pacific Pride Foundation in Santa Barbara, California to build community coalitions focused on a broad range of issues impacting diverse lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender populations. Meredith holds a bachelor’s degree from Mount Holyoke College and a Master of Social Work from the Boston University School of Social Work.

Community Catalyst works to ensure consumer interests are represented wherever important decisions about health and the health system are made: in communities, courtrooms, statehouses and on Capitol Hill.
