Stacey Wright

Senior Director of Equity and Engagement

Stacey Wright is the Senior Director of Equity and Engagement at Community Catalyst. In this role, Stacey oversees the development and implementation of organization wide efforts to center health equity and racial justice in Community Catalyst’s programmatic work. Stacey joins us from the New York City Department of Health, where she led her Bureau’s Health Education, Community Outreach and Dismantling Racism initiatives, and served on the agency’s Race to Justice Core Leadership team. Her work on racial equity and the model she co-created with her former team has been published and serves as a resource for other local health departments. As a public health educator and clinical social worker, she is passionate about helping others learn and heal from racial and other life traumas. Stacey centers the power of human connection in her work, integrating narrative, healing justice and trauma responsive practices in her approach to advancing individual and collective healing, racial equity, and social justice. Stacey holds a Bachelor’s degree from Brooklyn College, a Master of Public Health from Columbia University, and a Master of Social Work from New York University. Stacey is a native New Yorker, who stays rooted in community through her connection to her faith, family, urban garden, and community theater.
