State Highlights
California
The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) released new enrollment data for Cal MediConnect, the state’s dual eligible demonstration project. As of January 2015, there are 122,908 people enrolled across six counties participating in the demonstration. 159,907 people have opted out of the program. DHCS also released a new document containing rates for enrollment, opt out and disenrollment in each participating county.
Massachusetts
MassHealth, the state’s Medicaid program, posted the agenda and related materials from the most recent One Care Implementation Council meeting held on January 9. Among the key updates was information on One Care spending and financing and updates on the Early Indicators Project, with preliminary survey results on the quality of consumer experience.
Texas
The Medicare-Medicaid Coordination Office posted the three-way contract for Texas’s dual eligible demonstration project. Voluntary, opt-in enrollment will start on March 1, with passive enrollment starting on April 1.
In other news, Texas’s Health and Human Services Commission will be conducting two provider trainings on the demonstration.
