Alexandra Abreu Boria
Project Manager, Community Solutions for Health Equity
As Project Manager, Alexandra/Alexa is responsible for day-to-day management for the Community Solutions for Health Equity program. Alexandra joined Community Catalyst in August of 2019. In her role, she supports grassroots advocacy groups to influence policy changes that reflect the needs of low-income and communities of color.
She joins CC with a background in immigration, policy analysis, civic engagement, and public health. In addition, she has been involved in international development efforts by working with vulnerable communities in Latin America, and with USAID in the Middle East. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, she is passionate about giving back to communities of color, advocating for human rights and dismantling systemic racism.
Alexandra holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Latin American and Caribbean Studies from the State University of New York at New Paltz and a Masters of Social Work in International Welfare and Social Policy from Columbia University School of Social Work.
